Life Story: George and Ethel Bodemer

George and Ethel moved into Jah-Jireh in August of 2020. They were married in 1954, getting close to 70 years ago! Both George and Ethel were raised in the truth. Before they were married, George was in Bethel. To this day he jokes that he “left Bethel for Ethel!” After leaving Bethel they lived in Stratford, Bradford, and then in Alliston. This is where they spent many years raising their 3 daughters. After their daughters were married, pioneering and no longer at home, George and Ethel lived between Niagara Falls and Welland where they enjoyed working along with the congregations and made many friends. Now, most of their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren live nearby and George and Ethel enjoy hearing all about their lives and their wonderful experiences in the truth.

Prior to coming to Jah-Jireh, both George and Ethel were beginning to have some health challenges that made the day-to-day duties of living at home difficult. They feel that Jah-Jireh was a blessing from Jehovah at the right time. It wasn’t anything they had been thinking about, but everything worked out perfectly for them to come, and when speaking to them their comments are that “they love it!”.

Both George and Ethel are truly a wonderful part of our Jah-Jireh family. If you ever have an opportunity to visit them at Jah-Jireh, they have many wonderful stories to share!
